Social-First Production Agency
A small team
with a passion
for doing
things well
Burning River is a father and son led, social-first production agency based in East London. Through a mix of grey hair and youthful passion (!), we've built a team of talented storytelling professionals who take your ideas from first spark to finished film.
Our story
Years of filmmaking experience meet an instinct for what actually works in the feed. That mix is what drives everything we make.
We produce everything from six-second social reels to award-winning documentaries. Working with brands like O2, B&Q and Tikiri, and causes like Beyond Conflict, we've learned that the best content doesn't demand attention. It earns it.
By pairing that craft with smart use of AI, we move faster and go further than traditional production: more ideas, sharper execution and better value, with your brand's voice intact throughout.
Meet the team

Simon Wright
Director
Simon is a Director at Burning River.
Before that, he co-founded Gatehouse in 2006 and built it into the go-to internal communications agency, working with 75% of the FTSE 100. Gatehouse was acquired by Arthur J. Gallagher in 2017.
He's spent years making films for businesses (around 3,000 of them at last count), which means he's very good at spotting what will work, what won't, and when something's trying too hard. Simon is very hands-on, opinionated (in a useful way!), and obsessed with keeping content clear, human and watchable.
Working with his son Tom keeps things fast, current and occasionally chaotic. Dad jokes are unavoidable. Bad ideas don't survive long.

Tom Wright
Creative Director
Tom is the Creative Director at Burning River and the son half of the duo.
He leads on filming, editing and creative execution, making sure everything feels native to the platform it's made for. He's instinctively creative, quietly obsessive about quality, and very good at translating ideas into content people actually want to watch.
Working with his dad means experience meets instinct, and no one gets away with lazy thinking, even if it does mean listening to the same dad jokes on repeat.

Callum Wijker
Sales & Social Content
Callum works across sales and content at Burning River, helping to shape ideas and turn them into content.
He writes articles, creates visual assets, and gets involved in filming and editing, with a particular interest in trends and how culture influences what people actually engage with. He's always looking at how brands can show up in ways that feel current, without just jumping on things for the sake of it.
When he's not in the office, he's usually at the cinema watching the latest release, at home watching a 20-minute tactical breakdown of why his favourite team lost, or making a coffee far too close to bedtime.

Tess
Paw-sitive Engagement Officer
Tess is our Paw-sitive Engagement Officer.
Working closely with the whole team, Tess ensures morale is high, tails are wagging, and everyone's social engagement stays pawsome.
When Tess is not in the office, she can be found sleeping on a sofa, chasing a ball or getting under people's feet.
What we believe
Story first
Every project starts with the story your audience actually wants to hear, not a template, not a trend. The format follows the story, never the other way round.
Social first
We think about where people actually watch first, then make the right film for it: social reels, brand films, TV commercials, documentaries, training and internal comms.
Smart use of AI
Combining our creative team with smart use of AI means faster ideation, smarter execution and more content at better value, without losing your brand's voice.
Partners, not suppliers
We work as an extension of your team. Close collaboration, honest advice and content that sounds like you, looks like you, and works for your business.
